I provide consultation for fellow social workers as well as other mental health providers such as psychotherapists and counselors. I also offer clinical supervision for LGSWs in Maryland.

1) Qualify as a Board approved LCSW or LCSW-C in Maryland and maintain this designation for the duration of the supervision.
2) Provide or ensure that a supervisee receives a minimum of 3 hours of face-to-face supervision per month or 1 hour of face-to-face
Supervision for every 40 hours worked.
3) Conduct supervision according to the standards outlined in Maryland Health Occ. Code Ann. (“H.O.”) §19-302 of the Social Work
Practice Act (H.O. §§ 19-101 et seq.) and Regulations governing the Practice of Social Work COMAR 10.42.01 through10.42.08.
4) Provide a copy (to the supervisee) of the Board’s supervisory

Obtain social work experience after obtaining a Licensed Master Social Work license.
Receive a minimum of 3 hours of face-to-face supervision per month or 1 hour of face-to-face supervision for every 40 hours worked.

Yes. Fifty (50) hours of the 100 hours required for supervision can come from group supervision. However, the group size cannot exceed 6 supervisees.

The Maryland Social Work Board believes that an 18 month period will provide additional time for a social worker to become more acclimated to the responsibilities associated with the LCSW or LCSW-C level of licensure. A more knowledgeable and confident social worker will be able to provide a more professional level of social work supervision to others seeking advanced licensure.

Yes. Arrangements to obtain supervision for licensure at one of the advanced levels can be made within or outside of the agency. All supervision must be under a contractual agreement form and the supervision must be accountable to the employer.

Groups
LGSWs: $75 hourly
LCSWs: $25 hourly
